It is that time of year again; West Orange African Heritage Organization (WOAHO) is hosting their 5th Annual An Afternoon of Jazz at Hat City Kitchen. This has proved to be a fun event for the community. Sunday April 3rd 3-7pm.
Building a strong community in West Orange and the surrounding communities is the mission of WOAHO. Founded in 1999, WOAHO is a voice for and a center of action to advance: academic student achievement and educational advocacy, equity, justice and a high quality of life for all our community, responsible citizenship and participation in municipal governance, awareness and appreciation for the contributions of the diverse cultures of people of African descent.
Sunday April 3rd, will be the third time the An Afternoon of Jazz was hosted at Hat City Kitchen. The venue is a home and destination for live jazz. David Stryker performed last year. This year Nat Adderley Jr., Vincent Ector, and other guests. While listening to jazz and supporting an organization dedicated to educating, and empowering the West Orange community.
Ways to Get Involved:

- Submit jazz related artwork/photography to the ad journal
- Attend the Event Sunday April 3rd 2016 at Hat City Kitchen in New Jersey’s Valley Arts District
- Become a member of WOAHO and/or donate to the organization
