The Winter 2014 issue will always mean a lot to me because it was historic in a number of ways. It was the one year anniversary of the zine being a print publication . The first one debuted at Ironworks Gallery (ORNG Ink Studi0) in January 2013. And the release of The Music Issue was the first hip hop showcase at Hat City Kitchen in the Valley Arts District. Capital Ode, Mouse Sucks, Lusive, Eris Dublin, Detective Tuesday, Brittany Craig and more performed that night. The big OMG moment however was the finale, a surprise performance by the Soundbox Banditz, Johnny Delight, and Safe2woSay. It was the first time the three core members of the hip hop group performed together in years. It was an exciting moment for the group, Hip Hop’s presence in the Valley and MASCONSUMPTION. The crowd was going crazy.
