This past weekend I found myself in SOHO for DISCONNECT, a group exhibition at the Farm. It was awesome to say the least. The Farm is located in the cut, you will walk right past it if you do not know where to look. DISCONNECT was just as cool as I imagined. Walls were covered with images of being chained to social media, selfies, and more works depicting our addiction to our cell phones. It was nice to see this theme explored and the work was impressive. I am not just saying that because I knew some of the artists, Khari, Stephen, and Laura of ORNG Ink. There were photographs, as well which was nice. The space in general made you feel like you should be creative, and I made an effort to talk to people more as opposed to play with my phone. Good job Khari! So proud and happy that I was able to come. I can’t wait for the next one.
Something else was accomplished this weekend, we posted our first promo video on our youtube channel. Please watch and let us know what you think!
