WHAT WE LOVE: MORE INSIDE OF THE NOVEMBER E-ZINE

When developing this month’s e-zine, we created the masConsumption Quiz. Very similar to the Cosmo quiz which is very popular in Cosmopolitan magazine. I’d read these questionnaires with celebrities and they’d be just questions about their ordinary lives. Like what was in their purse or what they had for breakfast that morning. I decided to do the same and will be a new feature in the zine. I can not wait to include that! THE SHOOTS: Kat Dolly Black e-zine shoot!

Ever since Tyree and I met the Kat, maybe a year ago, we wanted to shoot her. She’s beautiful, inside and out, and we wanted to capture it! On the spur of the moment we decided to photograph her, and we had a lot of fun! Just like most things in this industry, everything did not go as planned. This shoot was supposed to be the cover of the summer fall issue, and be featured in the zine. Obviously we went with one of the lookbook shots for the cover, but we found a good use for the pictures!

Zine Release: 10.12.13

masConsumption has gone through many changes in the last year. Growing and trying to find it’s identity. We have already released three print zines, and two monthly e-zines. The print zines are quarterly and will be more theme related and released during a related event. (The summer issue was all about fashion and released at the fashion show, and the fall issue is about writing and was meant to debut during a poetry festival).

The upcoming Fall issue is still debuting next Saturday, October 12, 13 during ORNG Ink’s first annual OKTOBERFEST. This is meant to be an event that is geared for our friends and family to celebrate the new season, and get ready for the new. This zine issue features a story anthology called the ABC Series and all about self expression.

The zine will be on sale for $5, and 10% of the proceeds go back into ORNG Ink event planning. Taste our new brew, BaROCK Your Socks OFF! This issue features writers all over the country, and world. The exciting prompt has gotten people excited about the zine and I can not wait for you all to read it! It’s not too late to submit! Go to masconsumption.com/submissions
