The South Mountain International Blues Festival is a nonprofit organization created by musician, Mike Griot. He is a valued member of this community and has always been a good ear when talking about the future of the Valley Arts District.
He has been doing this huge festival for six years now, and has been nominated for a third time for Best Music Festival. Jersey Arts People’s Choice Awards are fast approaching and it is time for you to vote for the South Mountain International Blues Festival.
Every year it has gotten bigger and bigger. Last year it was ‘The Best of the Fest’ featuring blues musicians, Dean Shot, Tomas Doncker, Dave Stryker, Michael Hill, Bill Hector, Al Gold, and Eliza Neals. All of which I am proud to say have also graced the Hat City Kitchen Stage. Al Gold hosts a bi-monthly open blues jam on Sundays at HCK from 3-6pm
